Preparations

  • A minimum of 10-12 hours of fasting is a mandatory requisite before undertaking the tests.
  • It is advisable to take the test early morning.
  • A proper sleep is necessary to get accurate results.
  • Use of alcohol and other addictives must be stopped for at least 24 hours prior to taking the tests.
  • Do not smoke before the tests.
  • Intake of any medication must be discussed with the doctor before undertaking the test in order to get accurate results.
  • Females should avoid taking the tests 7 days before or after the menstrual period in order to avoid getting any misinterpreted results.
