The large intestine is located at the end of the digestive tract. Furthermore, this surgery is necessary to treat and prevent the conditions that affect one’s colon. The organs that could be removed include rectum, large intestine and small intestine. Bowel diseases and blockages are quite risky and cause problems in the normal functioning of rectum or colon. Pain and discomfort are some of the symptoms of bowel diseases. The partial removal of the colon does not affect the normal functioning of the digestive system.
