Preparations

The only preparation this test requires is a mandatory 12 hour fasting. No other specific or special preparations are required before the test. If any special preparations are needed, the lab technician or the doctor will inform about the same prior to the test.

 

Sample Type for the Test

The test requires a blood sample to be drawn from the body of the individual. A blood sample is drawn from the vein present inside of the arm of the individual. This blood sample is then sent for further testing.
