Preparations before the Test
The test requires a mandatory 12 hour fasting. Any other preparation before the test would be the sole discretion of the lab technician or doctor.
Sample Type for the Test
The test requires a blood sample to be drawn from the body of the individual and urine sample that is to be collected in a small cup for testing. A blood sample is drawn from the vein present inside of the arm of the individual which is then sent for further testing. The urine sample is collected in a sterilized cup and is collected during the first urine of the day.
The test requires no special or mandatory precautions to be taken before the test. If any precautions are to be taken, the lab technician would communicate the same to the individuals being tested.
