Ultrasound neck or commonly called USG-Neck is a non-invasive imagining procedure that is done in order to create an image of the neck vasculature and glands. This is done in order to diagnose conditions associated with the regions surrounding the neck.
Why get tested?
To determine the anatomy of the blood vessels and the glands of the neck
To detect the presence of lumps, nodes, cysts, or other abnormal masses in the neck or thyroid glands.
To diagnose any suspected infection or inflammation in the neck and head region.
To detect the presence of any cancerous mass in the neck.
To guide treatment procedures or further tests like fine needle aspiration or biopsy.

Pregnant women are advised to inform their doctors or the x-ray technicians before the x-ray, as the radiations may pass onto the fetus.
You may have to remove jewelry or metal objects before the x-ray.
The staff may ask the individuals to wear gowns before the x-ray.
