Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission – ABDM Registration

Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) is the government’s initiative to build India’s digital health ecosystem. By registering with ABDM, individuals can store, access and share medical records digitally with their consent to other stakeholders within the ecosystem, such as healthcare service providers, medical professionals, etc.

Previously known as National Health Digital Mission (NHDM), ABDM registration is essential not only for the general public but also for medical professionals and healthcare service providers. Only those who have been registered with ABDM can access the data shared within the ecosystem.

How to Register for Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission?

To register under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, an individual/ medical professional/ healthcare facility needs to generate their ABHA number. ABHA or Ayushman Bharat Health Account is used to identify a person or healthcare facility within the ABDM ecosystem. An ABHA number can be generated using the following methods:

By using an ABDM integrated Health Locker such as Docprime

By visiting the official website of ABHA

By downloading the ABHA app on the smartphone

By requesting a registered healthcare facility to generate the ABHA number

Steps for Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission Registration

Individuals can register with Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission by creating their ABHA through Docprime in 5 easy steps:

  • Click on “Create your ABHA”
  • Confirm your Name, Gender, Date of Birth and Email id
  • Create your desired PHR address , and Click on “Get OTP”
  • Enter the OTP received from NHA
